Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Former two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really happening.
